Website (s) are not all created equal
February 22, 2017 (KickAss.Domains) Every website owners goes online to enhance his business or basically to make money. When created it was the quickest way to wealth with limited resources. However, that has changed. There are hundreds of millions of websites online today. Some good websites and some not so good.
Simply designing a website and launching it is not sufficient. The competition is fierce! For example: we are a St. Louis based tech company. We work with a lot of restaurant owners. They all want to be on the first page of Google search results. However, there are some 3,000 to 4,000 fighting for those top 10 positions.
Fortunately, there are some really bad websites designed that makes it possible to reach that first page. Having said that, it can’t be a normal 5 page website with a submission form or it simply won’t rank well. It would never hit the first page of Google search results.
To rank a website high in the major search engines search results is possible, but you have to create a search engine friendly website. One the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo can easily crawl in order to properly index your website. Additionally, you need traffic and to get that you need to attract consumers. In order to attract consumers you need to offer something that is unique to your particular business. For example; coupons, online ordering, shopping cart, etc.
Integrating a blog on your website is an effective strategy to attract the search engines and to communicate with your audience. While blogging can be time consuming, it is an effective marketing strategy.
If you integrate a blog to your website you can set it up to auto share to your social sites enhancing your reach and communications. We offer a social media posting service we have called ePostings, whereby we integrate your blog with 50 social sites for maximum online visibility.
Websites should not be designed, launched and forgotten. You have to constantly be increasing content to your website and blogging is an excellent method of doing that. Content needs to be routinely updated, hours, specials, events, accomplishments or anything else that might be relevant to an audience.
To be honest, online marketing requires time and money, but the rewards are worth the time and expense.
